Jessica Crandall is a ten-year veteran television news anchor and medical reporter. She also has extensive experience in public relations and as a voiceover artist.
For the past few years while raising her two young boys, Jessica has contracted as a media specialist for several organizations and businesses, including The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Greenville Post Acute, and the Romph and Pou Agency.
Jessica anchored the 5 o’clock evening news for the ABC affiliate KTBS 3 in Shreveport, Louisiana for more than three years. She made a name for herself as the leading medical reporter in north Louisiana during that time by covering the hotly contested privatization of LSU hospitals and the ouster of Senator David Vitter.
Jessica has led large scale fundraising campaigns in partnership with multiple non-profit organizations. While with KTBS, she helped raise nearly $5 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. She has volunteered as emcee for events with groups like The Susan G. Komen Foundation and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Always up for a new challenge, Jessica anchored the weekend evening news for KIFI and KIDK television stations in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was assigned the Rexburg and Jackson Hole, Wyoming beats. Her weekend team produced the highest ratings in the history of both stations during her tenure there.
Jessica is a proud native Texan. She grew up on a cattle ranch outside of Ft. Worth where she barrel raced in high school. Later, she attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah on an academic scholarship. In college, she anchored, reported, and produced for the award-winning student newscast BYU Daily News, which aired on public broadcasting across the state of Utah and internationally on BYU-TV. She interned with Park City Television as an on-air reporter and weather anchor and completed an internship with KSL-TV in Salt Lake City.
In 2012, she married her college sweetheart, a rugby player and ‘kiwi’ from New Zealand. They have two boys, Asher and Beauden. In her free time, she likes to workout and catch up with friends.
