Ra Lawrence
Founder & Principal
At Barrett Hastings, we specialize in helping businesses grow, transform, and thrive. Founded by Ra Lawrence, a seasoned healthcare executive and business transformation specialist, our firm provides expert consulting in financial restructuring, operational efficiency, leadership development, and strategic growth.
With over a decade of executive leadership experience—primarily in the health management sector—Ra has successfully guided organizations through periods of transition, stabilization, and expansion. His expertise in crisis management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance enables businesses to overcome challenges, optimize performance, and achieve long-term success. Responsible for multi-million dollar “turnarounds”, and leading growth and emerging markets, Ra’s "No worries, we got this" attitude has helped guide his teams through often chaotic times.
Ra believes that strong servant leadership drives strong businesses. That’s why, beyond operational strategy, we focus on mentoring and coaching executives to build high-performance cultures that foster innovation and excellence. Many of the leaders Ra has worked with have gone on to become vice presidents, business owners, and investors.
Originally from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, Ra moved to the United States to play rugby at university, where he met his wife. Today, they run Barrett Hastings together, bringing a dynamic, results-driven approach to business consulting. When they’re not helping businesses grow, they’re busy raising their two young boys and staying active in their community.
